The other driver's insurer wants to talk about the bumper and the repair bill. The Pink Advocate starts with you and your injury. Then she asks who should answer for what happened to you.
Our intake team takes the first call. Asking questions does not commit you to anything.
Greer Law Group represents people whose crash injuries are serious or permanent. If the crash put you in the hospital, under a surgeon's care, or out of work for the long haul, we want to hear from you.
If you walked away sore and are healing well, we're probably not the right firm for your claim, and we'll say so.
Adjusters run these plays every day, and they work best on people who don't see them coming.
A check shows up before anyone knows whether you'll need surgery. Sign the release and that claim is usually finished, even if your injuries get worse.
An adjuster asks how you're doing on a recorded line. "I'm OK" can come back later as proof you weren't really hurt.
Every percent of fault they pin on you cuts what they pay. Push it far enough under Colorado law and the payout can drop to nothing.
Pain that shows up days later gets called unrelated. A gap in treatment gets called proof you were fine.
Insurers love confusion. It gives them room to explain away what they should be paying for.
General information, not legal advice. Every case turns on its own facts.
Colorado generally gives you three years to file a lawsuit for injuries from a motor vehicle crash. The clock usually starts the day of the crash.
If a government vehicle or employee was involved, you have 182 days from the day you discovered the injury to send a written notice of claim. Miss that deadline and you can lose the claim.
You can recover as long as your share of fault is less than the fault of the party you're suing. Your award is reduced by your percentage of fault.
Your own car insurance may pay when the other driver has no insurance or not enough. In Colorado, that coverage is part of your policy unless the person named on the policy turned it down in writing. Before you accept a settlement from the other driver's insurer, check your own policy's rules.
For claims arising on or after January 1, 2025, pain and suffering damages are capped at $1.5 million. Damages for physical impairment or disfigurement fall outside that cap.
Fill out the short form below or call (303) 331-6460.
We'll ask about the crash, your injuries and the treatment you've had so far.
If it fits the cases we take, our legal team reviews it and tells you plainly where you stand.
